Loanfinder.co.uk Events & Competitions
We also run numerous events and competitions in the local community. We have a local football team (Loanfinder United) who regularly take part in local tournaments. One of the interesting competitions we held recently was to invite people to make a video for a Loanfinder’s review project. Dorset Deaf Children's Society
"I want to thank you all for the tremendous fund raising you have done for our charity, Dorset Deaf Children's Society.
The Trustees of Dorset DCS are all volunteers and most of us are parents of deaf children. Although we have the support of the National Deaf Children's Society we are a charity in our own right. We run the charity from our homes and this means that we have very little overheads so any money raised and donated to the charity goes towards supporting and helping deaf children and their families in Dorset.
All the deaf children are spread all over Dorset in main stream schools and the only opportunity for the children to meet other deaf children and for the families to meet each other is through our activities. We recently held our Christmas Party which was attended by over 160 parents and children and everyone had a brilliant time. I have sent a few pictures from the party.
We could not carry on this work without the donations and support from organisations such as yourselves and we are very grateful. We were so pleased to hear that you had great fun raising the money!"
